One of my coworkers is being a Good Human Being

I just learned something interesting over at JasonF’s site

Whether it’s because he has a little too much expendable income, or because he has a disproportionately large desire to help other people when they need it, one of my fellow MSDN Events presenters, Bill Steele, certifiable genius, is going to be using his own plane to fly tens of thousands of meal packets to people who need them in Louisiana following the mess left by Katrina.

That’s just awesome. This is the sort of thing people should do, and it’s nice to hear about it rather than all the looting, shooting, and beating that’s going on. If Bill was harboring any dreams of being mistaken for a sociopath, he’s completely laid them to waste.

Of course, Bill does work for Microsoft, which means he’s evil.

But at least it’s a good kind of evil.

the fact that Bill's a softie, makes me sure he won't drop frozen penguins, at least!
anyway, bad news come from the US these days after Katrina, let's hope more and more people do the right thing.

Good luck to him. I will hopefully be up there when the flooding goes away. I was in Homestead after they got beat to crap and it was amazingly humbling. I can only imagine how this will be.

If no one does anything else but take to heart what can happen to us at any time, we as a people will be much better. I've seen it happen somewhat after Septer 11th and I hope to see more of it now.

I'm gonna go kiss my kid and call my mom.

Good luck to Bill and thank you Rory for letting us know about his act of kindness.

You know those people in New Orleans aren't dangerous. I don't know why the media and government was stressing the looting and crime. People need help out there and to take resources from the relief effort to address pointless looting is silly. Furthermore its silly to focus on the looting so as to give people the wrong impression of what's going on out there. God bless Bill and whoever else can lend a hand.
