Chris Sells wrote an
email to Robert Scoble in
which he said that "You can love machines and people, but only people can love you
back."
While this is currently true, it's going to change someday. While it's entirely possible
that we'll all be long dead when it happens, it'll still happen.
I even foresee a day when machines can hate you back, but that's just because I'm
kind of a visionary. I can also envisage a day when a machine will be able to pop
your head off your shoulders 'cause you looked at it wrong.
What about the machines that will twist your arm behind your back and make you cry
"uncle?" They're coming, too - Better be ready.
I'm also looking forward to the machines that will get drunk and slap you on the back
so hard that your eyeballs will fly out of your skull and roll under the couch, where
the cat will eat them.
The future: It's coming, and it's going to do a whole lot more than just love you
back.
