RSS4C - Find out where the money went...

When I said I was taking a hiatus, I mentioned that there were a couple of reasons that I would temporarily break with my hiatus to post.

This is one of those reasons...

Her name is Ma, she's four years old, and lives in the Philippines with her family whose total monthly income is $70.00:

She is also now being sponsored with the money from RSS4C through Children International.

I think it's pretty cool that the dough from one sideshow project of one blog built with free time that otherwise would have been blown watching TV is now ensuring that one human being on the other side of the planet is seeing her basic needs met.

So, thank you for supporting RSS4C. If you're reading this blog, linking to RSS4C, or even just occasionally thinking about RSS4C, whether you've ever purchased anything through it or not, then you've contributed to this, so you ought to be feeling pretty damn good tonight.

I'm certainly feeling pretty damn good tonight...

Does the Amazon affiliate thing cover purchases from www.amazon.co.uk? Being here in the UK it's not sensible for me to buy from the USA. A link to the .co.uk site, on the other hand....

That's a really good question.

I know that the web service SDK I'm using to access the data is country/culture aware (not for very *many* countries, but it is aware).

I don't know what that means for people who are abroad.

I should look into that...
