Would you like to pet my (code) monkey?

Well, right when you're in the middle of feeling the worst you've felt in ages, some good news comes along.

Looks like Chris Sells is going to be my code monkey for the upcoming Padnug meeting a week from today. That's pretty sweet, and was worth getting out of bed (off of couch) to announce. If you didn't have a reason to come before, then you have a reason to come now. It'll be good times.

Aside from that, I still feel raunchy. I also haven't showered in several days, and the answer to the question "What stinks in here?" is me.

Lordy, I smell really bad right now. Super bad, actually, and not in the "James Brown Superbad" kind of way, either. I just plain old reek.

Um.

Anyway...

Cool and just when I needed a reason to come to portland! :)

Actually you need to have a really cool you have to come out and see it kind of get together in the middle of summer - it's that time of year that I look for pretty much any excuse to get out of the arizona sun.

Having your very own code monkey is great. I have to settle for a student intern, whose job title is approximately "I get all the crap coding jobs". I wish we had a 'PADNUG' here in Richland,WA. Maybe I should start 'RADNUG'. I see they are giving you a farewell meeting, hope it is great.

"Hey you're the #1 google search for Rory now."

My servers over here are still returning me as #2, but I'll keep my eye out - I've been waiting for "Total Rory Relevance," so this is good news :)

You are still behind Rory Gallagher for my google search. But that doesn't matter, it simply does not get any better than Joel not only linking to you, but also point out your google famousness. Yes, that is a word. In Kentucky at least. I'm in awe.

I feel the same way, but I was trying to take it in stride :)

My 102 degree fever helps too, though... It's hard to deal with reality when you're having fever dreams around the clock.

I'll probably wake up tomorrow and be totally shocked about all of this when I come across it...

In all honestly, I was a bit shocked to see a couple of my comments on your weblogs. It was of course more related to Jäger and red bull than a fever. Btw, when you know how to type the ä (ALT-132) character because Jäger comes up in e-mail / weblog correspondence, one might see the need to reason to reevaluate ones life. Like buying a German keyboard or something.

Btw, I've had well over 25 referals from your site. You are easily beating out "37 minute Paris Hilton Sex Tape" from google as the #1 referal. Well, by easily I mean 25 referals from you, 19 for Paris Hilton. But really, when it comes to really skinny people that get visitors to my website, you are #1 in my heart.

I'm glad you're getting something - Your comments in here over the past couple weeks have been awesome - I've actually had hallway conversations with co-workers about them (no kidding).

So, cool :)

Dang, you've now scrolled down to #3 while Google does the Google dance. How annoying; I was hoping to avoid the need to make an actual bookmark.

Just please tell me that there will be no "spanking" of this so-called Monkey at this so-called "User Group". I suppose that this so-called "Chris" and his watch (the entity commonly referred to as "Chrismega" in these rural parts) might actually object to him and his poster being treated in any regards like that....

My apologies :)

At any rate, your link probably did quite a bit to push me closer to that #1 spot, so I thank you. It's nice to know that I was at the top for even a moment...
