I was with my grandmother and my uncle. We had decided that we were going to build
a car.
My uncle was going to dismantle the plumbing in my grandmother's house in order to
create a sort of steam engine for the thing.
My grandmother wanted me to use "PURS" for storage of any energy that could be recaptured.
A "PURS", as I learned in my dream last night, is an 8x8 array of clay cubes, about
4 inches on a side, invented in the 18th century, that can store energy. There were
two wires leading into each cube. I don't know where the wires originated.
I suppose the modern word for a "PURS" would be "battery", but my brain was obviously
enjoying itself, having momentarily fancied the invention of a portable energy storage
device.
The dream was even complete with a page out of the Encyclopedia Britannica. It wasn't
one of these silly modern encyclopedias, though. There weren't any photos, and this
edition most definitely was not available on CD-ROM. It was, rather, a very elegant
thing, with a very classy illustration of the inventor of the "PURS" pictured next
to his invention.
My grandmother, who loves anything quaint, was very excited to be using such an old
technology in the construction of our car.
I woke up before we had a chance to build it.
