Brian Jepsen was just up, and I rather liked
him. Very apolitical, to the point, and had something interesting to say.
Then again, I'm biased because he looks kind of like the guy who played Dr. Chandra
in 2010, and I thought Dr. Chandra was cool, so I immediately trusted Brian.
If he had lit the building on fire, jumped on a table, and then urinated on somebody,
then I probably would have agreed with him. I would have said, "Hmmmm. I see your
point, Brian."
But, that isn't what he did. What he did was demonstrate the conversion of RSS feeds
into WML. He used Perl for one demo and C# (under Rotor) for another, showing us the
result on his phone.
He was really quite good. The first two talks were mainly philosophical/political,
whereas this one was, at least, (lightly) technical.
