Day three of the conference got started in a pretty important way.
Al Gore got the ball rolling - He wasn't even listed on the schedule, so we were
all pretty blown away.
I mean, who better to talk at an XML conference than the inventor of the internet,
himself?
In fact, as he went on in his talk, we learned that he also invented XML. I didn't
know that.
You learn something new everyday.
He says he invented it to make it easier for businesses ("Which I also invented")
to work together in spite of their disparate systems.
"I also invented the molecule," said Gore, completely out of context and with no segue
whatsoever.
