I remember receiving a comment in one of my posts which said something along the lines
of, "You don't link out enough."
That's kind of true. I love to write, and so tend to post long, droning bits of misinformation
whenever possible, and this usually sucks up most of the time that I might have to
link to other bloggers.
However, for those of you who haven't seen them, Joe Bork [MS] keeps two sites in
addition to his blog,
and they're both completely worth the visit.
The first is a sort
of photo blog, but they aren't really photos that Joe took. They're photos that
Joe found, and I'm glad he did, because I never would have. Some of them are just
too, too good...
The other site is a
repository for Slashdot troll posts. People find great trolls, and then send them
in to Joe. The result is a collection of some of the most offensive FUD to have ever
made it to Slashdot, which is really quite impressive. It's the kind of thing you'd
stick into a time capsule if you wanted future generations to think that the 21st
century was mostly populated by people who thought it more important to crush, rather
than support, the company that is behind the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. For
those of you who don't know, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is the charity
that almost has enough money to fund the curing of death. It's a very good thing (I
have an earlier post about the foundation here -
I honestly think it's worth a read, but I'm pretty biased).
I love Slashdot, but it's no secret that offensively stupid comments find their way
into the responses.
There. I linked out, and it felt good.
I've got more writing coming today, but it isn't going to be up until most of you
are eating dinner.
Have fun, then, with your days. I'm not going to be, which is why I'm not going to
have time to post.
Have to get my nose back to the grindstone (whatever in the hell it is that that's supposed
to mean).
