I blame myself - Grant Carpenter blames myself, too

Well, Grant Carpenter is blaming me for Don Box's new haircut:

I blame you for Don Box's haircut http://www.scotg.net/permalink.aspx/0c02eb26-8e97-4daf-aae5-a0bd359b51d7

There was an ecosystem consisting of millions of balding .NET nerds out there living vicariously through Don's hair.

I know I wrote a post in which I mentioned not having been too hot on Don's hair, but it couldn't possibly have had anything to do with the new do, could it?

I mean... could it?

[Trembling a little, Rory looks down at his hands with a new and reverent awe]

I mean, of course this is my fault.

And YOU'RE next.

Some definition is in order. Perhaps you can define better the line between facial and non-facial hair. At what point should one stop? Can one shave his head as long as the facial hair remains? Does Don's removal of his "head hair" bother you as much as your co-worker removing his "facial hair" exposing his bare upper lip? Hehe.

Removal/addition of facial hair is a very serious matter. Manipulation of any other bodily hair, however, is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged in some cases. I don't actually want to *talk* about those cases, but do know that they exist. I'd put up a list of rules governing various aspects of hair ownership, but having a list of rules would make it very difficult for me to change them as I go along. For example, I had to make a "Class A Facial Hair Addition" rule exception for my cousin who suddenly decided to take up the sport of not shaving. However, such dispensations are very uncommon, and people shouldn't press their luck. I looked through a good sample of the photo albums on your site, and saw that you have managed to retain a single state of facial hair for quite some time. You're a good man, Drew. Don't lose sight of what's important in life.
