When this dream started, I was up at the Puget Sound with my father, visiting my grandparents.
My dad and I had been rowing a dinghy out in the sound. I don't remember the details of this bit, except to say that my socks were wet, and I didn't want them that way.
We decided to head back to my grandparents' house. When we got there, I removed my cold, wet socks, and my father began to argue with his mother.
They were arguing about whether or not "the adventure" was over. My father was saying that there was plenty of adventure left, and my grandmother was saying that the adventures were all over.
The dream ended with two statements.
My grandmother: "At my age, it can end when I want it to."
My father: "They're only the harmless skyscrapers of dreams."
