No time

In case you're wondering why it's been nothing but Channel 9 this week, it's because I've been a bit too busy to post about anything else.

I'm on the west coast, and haven't had much of a chance to write anything. I have things to say, but they might just have to wait until I'm back in New London.

It's been a very, very, very strange week. That's the other part of it. I basically came back to my hometown, visited my grandmother who, as you may have guessed, I miss quite dearly, tried to spend time with the family, tried to spend time with the girlfriend, and attended a memorial service for the 15 year old son of my father's secretary who died in a car accident over spring break. This was all on Saturday. It's a weird feeling to go from total joy to total depression and back to total joy before the sun has risen and set.

After that, I headed up to Seattle where I am presently.

Don't even know why I'm posting this. Maybe for the eight people who care.

For the rest of you: You can go about your business. Move along... move along... I'm sorry if I wasted your time.

Neopoleon.com will be back to its regularly scheduled idiocy before long.

I promise.

You posted it just for me. I know you did; don't try denying it. It's just like how you put those backwards messages in your songs just for me, and how when you do .NET Rocks! you pretend like you're talking to just me.

When I put it all together like that, it makes you sound sort of crazy, doesn't it?

Cheer up Rory the sun is shining, you are on the West coast and your friends care about you. Just picture that VW bug going flying off the deck of the aircraft carrier it's little wiper blades waving goodbye as it breaks 9 seconds. That'll cheer you up.

As a wise man once said "any day you cheerios talk back to you is a good day!"

Sorry to hear about your friends son. I had a funeral I attended not to long ago. My bosses son committed suicide about a month ago and that was very sad.

Sorry to hear the sad news. I lost my cousin last summer who I was very close to. She lived in Groton, CT. It's a tough thing.

I'm sure the g/f was a comfort. Family is always a good thing. Grandmas are priceless.

I know first-hand what you mean about the joy-sorrow-joy... roller-coaster. Went through it last week and am still on it. My Dad passed away on the 29th and I spent the last week in the surreal realm of returning to my childhood neighborhood to deal with his affairs. The reason for the trip was extremely depressing and yet seeing old friends and relatives was actually joyous at times. Is it possible to be both depressed and happy at the same time? I wouln`dn't have said so before but now I think the answer is yes.

Just realised my last post was completely out of context here. I meant to post it in the Channel9 thread. Sorry!

I currently have a family member dying of cancer, so I can see the joy/sadness/joy thing. It's good seeing the family again, but the reason we're all getting together is entirely shitty.

Mais, c'est la vie.
