When bosses blog

My team has two (2) managers, and each manager has a blog.

Each manager has recently put up a post that could potentially affect people.

One (1) post could have a strong impact on my life, and one (1) post could have a strong impact on your life.

One (1) post that could have a strong impact on my life

Mike O'Neill, the East Coast manager of my team, just put up a post about the MSDN Event which took place in Oakland, CA this last Tuesday.

The issue he's raised is that some people seem to think that the VB.NET OOP talk is a little too rudimentary for an MSDN Event, and that it doesn't "gel" with the other topics.

I'll withhold comment on how I feel about the OOP talk, but I'll quote Mike here to give you an idea of what I might be thinking:

My presenters tend to be elitist and think we should just go hardcore and forget about the VB 6 people.

While I have no desire to forget about anybody, and while I don't consider myself to be an elitist, there are some things about the OOP talk that seem a little...

Well...

You know.

[wink, wink]

You know.

If you also [wink, wink] think that the OOP talk is a little [wink, wink] "you know," then you should definitely get in touch with this man. He can make good things happen - things that could potentially improve your life as an MSDN Event attendee.

Also, Mike's awesome, and I'm not just saying that because I want a raise.

One (1) post that could have a strong impact on your life

It turns out, mes amis, that there is an opening on my team in the Bay Area.

If you like:

- To speak in front of crowds

- Coding

- Travel

...then this is the job for you.

I mean that.

If you're interested, then check out this post.

Coming to Microsoft was the best professional decision that I've ever made, and I haven't regretted it for a second.

Come work with me and my home fries.

And send me money. If you want to. That doesn't have anything to do with this post, but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case.
