The DNR (check out the new web site) crew is going to be on the A&E channel tonight, taking part in Caesars 24/7. It’s one of those reality TV things.
From the description on the web site:
Four big time nerds in town for a computer programmer's convention decide to take a break from boring seminars and try to pick-up a woman they meet at the bar. Are they up to the challenge?
I thought that was a pretty generous description. If I were in charge, it probably would have been something like this:
Four shining examples of the species programmerum socialis-incapabiles are seen outside their natural habitat. Our crew, adept at the art of big game hunting, sprayed key areas of the Las Vegas strip with Essence of Pocket Protector, and these poor animals followed the scent and fell into our cunningly set trap. After their arrival, they spotted a female of a compatible species, homo sapiens, and began a complex, bizarre, and poorly understood courting ritual that has never before been captured on video. It is extremely rare for programmerum socialis-incapabiles to attempt to mate in captivity, or anyplace else for that matter, so this is truly a singular treat, indeed.
But I’m not in charge.
If you want to watch, it’s going to be on A&E at 10:00 PM Pacific. I’m not sure about times for other parts of the universe.
