Comic - Chris Anderson's Book Fight

[Update: I've fixed Don's missing “Crazy Eyes“ - I've also added the missing Ian Griffiths. Apologies for having screwed this bady boy up.]

Over the holidays, Chris Anderson (Mr. Avalon) asked me if I’d throw together a comic which somehow related to a post of his in which he described a “steel cage death match” between himself and some other prominent Avalon (or, if you like to be modern and up to date, WPF) authors.

I told Chris it would take a couple weeks to do it since the art of comicstry is a fine craft requiring many, many days of procrastination before a work can be produced at the very last possible minute, at twice the budget, and with half the promised features.

I like to think I made good on that commitment.

I produce forth here today, from the loins of my brains, the artistic plant that did germ and sprout from a simple seed.

Granted, it doesn’t really seem to have a point, but it does appear to be a sort of death match thingy between Chris and his friends competitors. Also, I’d never let something as silly as not having a point get in the way of publicly making fun of people who could have me fired.

Enjoy.

That is rather spectacularly wonderful!

Why is Don the only head without wobbly eyes though? He seemed to have a miraculous recovery from 'wobbly eye syndrome' in slide 4, Right around the time he fessed up to writing C++ in Lisp.

Are you recommending Lisp for those of us who need to cure 'wobbly eye syndrome'?

It's true. I'm a bastard.

However, I've tried to make good by slightly modifying the eighth cell.

Mr. Griffiths makes an appearance after all...

With an ego twice as massive as even the size of Sells, Ian should have been unforgetable..

I really had no idea how much you like pink skirts (nor that you looked so good, while throwing up, wearing one)! If you ever make it out to SC, bring it!

I'm going to let the VB.NET reference slide this time...

原文: The WPF Book Fight Is OnRoy的卡通中描述的Petzold,Anderson和Griffiths/Sells之间旗鼓相当的竞争现在可以郑重地开始了。 Trackback:..
