If you have a Windows Mobile phone and want to use it as a modem without going through all the usual crap associated wih setting a mobile up as a modem (I find it a real pain in the ass - you might feel differently), then you should check out PdaNet. I just installed it, performed zero configuration, and was online with my phone.

It saved my butt when I was staying with my grandmother while she was sick. The house she was in didn't have a net connection, but I was able to remain connected through PdaNet and my phone.

I'm guessing most of you are Techy-Macho enough that you wouldn't resort to using such an app, but I love it. It was $35, and I can use it with all my laptops (you pay per phone rather than per machine, which is nice).

That $35 saved me a bunch of work that I didn't want to do (and that I didn't have time to do).

Just thought I'd let all y'alls know. It's awesome.
